This might be a little late, I know. Forgive me for being very busy. I've been attending events and doing important stuff for the past two weeks. But a week right after I turned 26, I immediately felt the perks of getting older. My friends Chase and Franz tied the knot! *cheers, buddies!*
Let me tell you about my birthday celebration. Celebrations. March 2, 2013 right after our Friday shift, I was invited to join breakfast with friends. But friends ditched me and my boyfriend. Bernice said she'll go to the dentist. Lyka will go to Laybare. Mommy Mich will go home. What about Tin who invited me to join a churros buffet? She left with Bernice. So, boyfriend and I decided to check the tiangge before going to 7 Eleven. I was browsing items when he started to complain of having bad tummy, blaming the poor lasagna he had during their meeting. But we dropped by 7 Eleven for a Hotpot Meal. I was ready to devour my 45 Php Hotpot when he announced he needs the restroom. To make the long story short, he said we better go home. BUT check the tiangge first. We bumped into Franz on our way to the tiangge and we asked if he is with company. He said he is with Chase and "silang lahat". We went to Dulcinea and spotted their table. I saw Marj and Bernice first. Then Tin. Ben. Lyka. Mommy Mich. Wait. I think these people just invited me for breakfast and now having their own breakfast and......they have a cake??? They started singing Pusong Bato "Happy Birthday".
To my friends and the people I've worked with for four years, THANK YOU. Thank you for always letting me be myself, getting crazy with me, for understanding why I have to bite my nails during stressful times, listening to my rants and whines and senseless stories.
March 3, 2013. Ready for an adventure. Boyfriend and I backpacked to Corregidor. It was our first time to go there. I would like to thank his Tty for helping us book the trip. It was an overwhelming experience. A whole day is not enough to process all the information our guide loaded into our rusty brains. And a short stay is not enough to admire the whole Corregidor. I have yet to experience the hospital ghost hunt, discover what's inside the lateral tunnels, watch the sunset and wait for the sunrise. Nevertheless, it is a great experience. A new place discovered on the day I turned 26. We were with strangers- our busmates are pretty much an interesting batch- two Indians, an Aussie guy in his late thirties, senior citizens from Alabang, a former Navy and more than 5 young adults. We took a 'class picture' at the end of the tour.
I thank boyfriend for an awesome experience, for being with me on my birthday, for planning a surprise party with my friends, for making me feel loved, for taking care of me, for giving me all the things that I don't even think I deserve...... March 3, 2013. two years ago from today, I met you. Thank you for the three most wonderful birthdays of my life! Cheers to another beautiful year!
